Boarding & Day School for Girls aged 11 to 18, 490+ pupils, Surrey
About the School St Teresa's was founded by the Religious Order of Christian Instruction in 1928 on what was originally part of a manor site recorded in the Doomsday Book. The main house, dating from 1799, forms the centre of the Senior School, and has been greatly extended to provide the modern facilities needed for the 21st Century. An all-weather pitch and new swimming pool complex were completed in 2000 and 2003 respectively and, in September 2005, Music, Drama and the arts benefited from a magnificent £3 million, 750-seat performing arts theatre hall, equipped with the latest technology, with new music and drama suites. St. Teresa’s School provides the challenges and opportunities for each girl to develop fully her interests and abilities, both inside and outside the classroom. Flexibility is the key to enable all the students to achieve to their maximum – wherever their talents lie. St Teresa’s is not just about academic performance. Girls achieve remarkable things in art, drama, sport and music. At St Teresa’s there are around 100 boarders with 30% being international.
Admissions Girls from abroad are welcome to apply, places are offered as a result of a special entrance procedure. Arrangements can be made for school examination papers to be taken overseas, under examination conditions.
