- Ashford School - Co-educational Day School for ages 0 - 18, Boarding from 10 to 18, 738+ pupils.
Ashford School is a diverse community where individuality is valued. There are over twenty nationalities represented. All pupils have the opportunity to discover their creativity, abilities and strengths through a range of sporting, artistic, cultural and social activities which run in parallel to their academic development. Boys and girls may be admitted to boarding at any age from 10 to 18 years and at any time throughout the academic year providing there are vacancies in the year group they wish to join. - Beechwood Sacred Heart School - Co-educational Day School for ages 3 – 18, Boarding for Girls only from 11 to 18, 400+ pupils.
Founded in 1915 by the Society of the Sacred Heart, Beechwood retains a special family quality, underpinned by standards and values derived from its Catholic tradition. The school welcomes both boys and girls and pupils of all creeds, including representatives from several different countries overseas. A strong partnership between family, staff and pupils encourages every child to develop and to excel at their individual talents. Girls may be admitted to boarding normally at age 11, 13 or 16, although, where vacancies exist, it is possible to join the school in any year group. Pupils from overseas will be required to complete the school’s own tests in English and Mathematics. Bethany School was founded by The Reverend Joseph Kendon in1866. He was a man of great vision and faith who intended Bethany to be a community where each student would be treated as an individual and encouraged to reach their true potential in all areas of life. Today, the School is still true to its roots and gives a high standard of personal care and encouragement to all students within the setting of a Christian community. Bethany is a strong, thriving school set in a beautiful 60 acre site in the heart of Kent. Most boys and girls join in September but entry in January or April is possible subject to availability of places. Main years of entry are Years 7, 9 and Lower 6th. Dover College was founded in 1871 by a group of local Businessmen, led by the Mayor of Dover Dr Astley, who considered that it would be beneficial for the town to have its own Public School. The College was sighted in the grounds of a 12th Century Benedictine Priory, an idyllic site, which it still occupies. College admits both boys and girls through a rounded process including interview, a report from previous or current school and academic assessment. Entry may be at the ages of 11, 12, 13, 14+ or 16+ into the 6th Form. Kent College is situated in a delightful 80 acre semi-rural location adjoining 200 acres of ancient woodland. The idyllic campus overlooks the historic city of Canterbury. It is renowned as a particularly friendly and welcoming school with a strong family feeling. Kent College provides a challenging yet unfailingly supportive community that nurtures and develops an impressive range of talents and interests to enable every pupil to realise their full potential. Entrance for both boys and girls to the senior school is normally at 11, 13 or 16, though vacancies do occur at age 12 and 14. - King's School Rochester - Co-educational Day School for ages 3 - 18, Boarding from 11 to 18, 700+ pupils.
King's was founded in 604 a. d. It is the oldest choir school and the second oldest school in the world. King's is an academic school, and particular care is taken in assessing each pupil's standard of English to ensure that it is appropriate for his/her year group. All boys and girls admitted to King’s School follow a full curriculum and entry is possible at all ages, including after GCSE/IGCSE examinations. St. Lawrence College is located in Ramsgate, a small and historic seaside town. With around 330 pupils, St. Lawrence College is small enough for each pupil to be considered and valued as an individual, but large enough to provide challenge through a variety of different subjects, activities and skills areas. Each year St. Lawrence has a small group of successful Oxbridge applicants, along with students who manage to achieve well above their expectations, whatever their ability level. St. Lawrence College admits both boys and girls, all overseas students will be pre-tested to better assess their academic needs before they arrive. Pupils have been inspired by the beautiful surroundings of Sutton Valence School since 1576. Sutton Valence pupils flourish in a positive learning environment that combines a traditional setting with cutting edge teaching techniques and technologies. Pupils from overseas are welcomed to Sutton Valence and currently comprise approximately 12% of the school roll. Where the school have vacancies, boys and girls are accepted at any stage of the school, having successfully sat the appropriate entry tests. Cobham Hall is an IB World School, offering the International Baccalaureate Diploma in 6th Form. Cobham Hall also offers an exciting one-year Pre-IB course for girls aged 15 or 16, which is an excellent preparation for the two-year IB Diploma course. Students interested in 11+, 12+ or 13+ entry will sit academic tests in English and Mathematics; have a personal interview with a member of the Senior Management Team and take part in a group sporting activity.
